Once the wallpaper paste on the balloons dried, we did another layer, then popped the balloons and even more layers round the tops to strengthen it. It took several days to dry in between each time! But this is the fully dry result.
So last weekend before my mum arrived, and james had a lie in, we set about painting them. As nothing goes to plan, that too needed 2 coats and took days to dry out.
Then yesterday we finally completed the project. We drew on faces and made holes in the sides to put the handles through.
And hey presto - Halloween Pumpkin Trick or Treat Buckets. Of course they had to have some sweets in them instantly!
Impressed? I am (with my own artistic skills that is!)
