I failed in doing Halloween crafts this year with the kids, so today set to with the Guy Fawkes one initially just with Krystal while Kory was at school (but I started one for him)
First of all we used coloured crayons to completely cover a sheet of paper which Krystal loved doing!
Next we painted over the whole lot with blackpaint and let it dry in. Another task Krystal enjoyed, not often she gets to cover every cm of paper in paint!
By the time Krystal and I went to Asda and home, then to collect Kory, did his homework and had snacks, they were dry!
I gave the kids each their non sharp knives and let them get scraping out fireworks. When the paint is scraped off, the crayons are revealed giving really pretty pictures. I had even done one myself to show them how to do it of course :)
Once they were finished, they were all looking really good, but Krystal suggested some glitter to make them sparkly too. Why not!??
Here are the finished works of art - can't see the glitter too well in a photo, but they've put them on their wardrobe doors to admire and they really catch the light.
