On Saturday morning I got on a train to head to Edinburgh for Jenni's hen do.  Her mum Frances kindly collected me from the station so I didn't have to work out how to get to her house.  We had a delicious lunch there then got taxi into Edinburgh to play LaserQuest.  I opted out as I knew I'd burn myself out before the evening if I did that.

Hen doo 1.JPGNext we went on an open top bus tour of Edinburgh.  I don't know the city very well so it was nice to do it.  The tour guide was dreadful though.  The photo is all of us.

Jenni Hen.jpgWe headed to the hotel after this to chill for a while then get ready for our night out.  Here is Jenni all ready to go with her delightful veil on!

Stag Lot.jpgJust as we were leaving, a stag do from the room next door appeared wanting make up to dress the stag up!  Poor guy!

Jenni Dancer.JPGOur first stop was a Salsa restaurant for a salsa class.  it was interesting and a lot more fun than I expected it to be.  It's fair to say I was useless at it and spent most of it giggling!

Food.jpgNext we sat down for a meal.  It was a set menu and the amount of food that came out was something else!

Jenni Pub.jpgWe headed to a couple of pubs after the meal was done then on to the Salsa Club that we had free entry to as part of the package.  By this time we were all fading as we'd been up since early.  The salsa club as actually great and some of the people in there were amazing at doing it.   We gave up trying to keep our eyes open about midnight.  I felt bad for Jenni as it was ending early, but she looked as exhausted as the rest of us!

P25-04-10_0945.jpgWe sat chatting for a while back at the hotel, and were kept up later by the stag do coming back.  We were up fairly early in the morning.  As I don't do breakfast I decided to get dressed as the others went for it.  Bad move!  A fire alarm went off and I had to go outside in my pyjamas.  It was POURING and the fire brigade had to come and check it out.  It was nothing thankfully.

Another kind lift from Frances took me back to the station for the journey home.  The kids and James had missed me but had fun, including Kory's 1st swimming lesson which went well.
