Today was Kory's school Christmas concert.  Gone are the days of Christmas concerts being kids singing Christmas songs.  Oh no, dressed as cowboys, performing a show where they have a ho-down in a barn around about a woman having a baby called Jesus.  Narrated by a fieldmouse no less.  Confused?  So were we. 

AND - we were charged £2.50 each to go and watch it.  For licensing fees apparently.  Bring back Away in a Manger, Jingle Bells and We Wish you a Merry Christmas I say, and free entry!

As we were away for Dad & Tricia's wedding reception last night, we took the kids down to Stonehaven tonight for their fireworks display.  It was the first time the kids have seen a bonfire as Aberdeen don't allow one (health and safety or something!) We met up with Melanie, Liam, Leah & Hannah there too, who had the kids overnight last night for us. 

Sparklers weren't allowed, so we all came back to the house afterwards to do them.

Today was a good day.  After school I came home and got changed into some warm clothes and then we went to get Daddy from work and down to the beach.  We had a wonder about the golf area and then we went to Chiquitos for some yummy dinner. 

By the time we got finished it was fireworks time!  Krystal and I had our earmuffs on to stop our ears getting cold and stop the noise a bit too.  First of all we had sparklers (once Daddy got it to light)

Then it was time for the show.  It was done to music and was really good this year and not too noisy.  Here are some of the fireworks...

We got home very late and got to watch telly while we had hot ribena to heat up.  I really enjoyed going to see the fireworks this year.
