Kory Concert

Today was Kory's school Christmas concert. Gone are the days of Christmas concerts being kids singing Christmas songs. Oh no, dressed as cowboys, performing a show where they have a ho-down in a barn around about a woman having a baby called Jesus. Narrated by a fieldmouse no less. Confused? So were we.
AND - we were charged £2.50 each to go and watch it. For licensing fees apparently. Bring back Away in a Manger, Jingle Bells and We Wish you a Merry Christmas I say, and free entry!
Singing into the mic
It's been a busy old week of Halloween events. Starting last Tuesday with Kory's school disco where he went as a scary clown.
He seemed to have a great time at the disco, there were games and tattoos and juice and mostly all his friends were there!
On Saturday we went to a party at Leanne & Craig's house. This time it involved us dressing up too! We also took Jim, the nursery mascot with us dressed as a witches cat! It was a great night, the kids were delighted to stay out until "morning"
And today, Halloween Day. Krystal has a party at nursery first thing so it was an early morning getting her dressed up again. I took a notion to do pumpkins, but on further investigation, discovered everywhere was sold out (Christmas stock had taken over) Someone had said that watermelons are easier to carve, so I gave it a go.
Here is Ariel from the Little Mermaid that I did for Krystal and Mario for Kory. When they came home from school they were delighted!
We also baked some spider cakes before dinner and toffee apples for pudding. Phew, what a busy day!!

P.S. I *finally* have a new version of the blog for me doing them. So I plan to go backwards and fill in some of the gaps over the past few months, so keep checking in!
We had a birthday party this afternoon and we got our dinner there too. We went to the party dressed up because it was Halloween today. When we got home Mummy set up a basin of water and put in some apples. But she was cruel, she removed the stalks except on one for Krystal. She got hers easily.
I tried for a wee while, but couldn't get one, then Mummy showed me how to do it properly. She got very very wet. She emptied out some of the water after her turn to make it easier for me.
Next Daddy had a shot, he got his easily now there was less water.
Then I had another turn, well lots of turns actually. I couldn't catch my apple at all. Eventually I did, and I was soaking!
Love

Today was Krystal's turn for a Halloween party at nursery. Only they aren't allowed to call it that - it's an Orange Day Party. All their snacks were orange, Krystal's face is covered in tomato soup! I forgot to takeany photos before she left in the morning, I was poised by my laptop to buy Take That tickets. So this photo is when I went to pick her up, with Josh and the nursery mascot, Charlie.
Later in the day, Kory and Krystal had a great time jumping off the couch while I took photos. After each jump they giggled hystrically at the photo I'd taken.
Before bed they had Fudge (or Fudgie Foo Foo as Krystal calls him) out for a play and cuddle.
