After checking her chest & lungs were clear (they were) he looked at her throat and announced his diagnosis. At the start of the week she'd had croup, which is what I thought anyway, and while her immunity was down, in crept a secondary throat infection. This infection was narrowing her airway making it sound more serious than it was. Which explains the distinct lack of eating also. My wound is healing well, the week was so hard asall Krystal wanted wascuddles and I couldn't lift her up for them or have her on my left side at all. Certainly made for a challenge looking after her, myself and Kory yapping like a budgie as usual! He even says himself "I'm yapping like a budgie Mummy, amn't I?" YES!! Not got many photos really, but here are a few randoms from the camera card that haven't made it to the blog yet. Julie.xx P.S. For those who don't already know, I've closed my business down as of the end of January. Last week was a right off, hence no posts here. Nothing to say, we did nothing. Krystal worsened as the week went on, didn't get better. By Thursday she had lost the seal like bark but was really struggling to breathe, so I called the emergency doctor and they saw her within 30 mins which was impressive.
She started antibiotics and by the end of the day you could see a difference, and the next morning was like a different wee girl again. She's still on them now but seems ok again. Well ok-ish. Off the back of being allowed to pretty much eat what and when she fancied when ill, she's throwing a wobbler when we put her at the table just now and refusing to eat. That would be fine if she still felt unwell or something, but she'll happily eat anywhere else.
Friday was Comic Relief or Red Nose Day and Kory was to dress up for nursery, here he is before we went. He disappeared into the playroom and emerged like this, I just about wet myself laughing!
I've decided, after Chloe's comment, that I will continue with the blog, but as text only until the photo thing is fixed. Otherwise I'll forget what we've been up to! I'll go back and add relevant photos when (if) it's fixed.
Today when Krystal woke from her nap, Kory decided to hide from her under her cot. She couldn't see where he'd gone so I lifted her out (in her bag) and she spotted him and wanted to go under.
They played under there for ages, Krystal thought it was hilarious!
Kory took this one. Quite impressive actually!
Time to backtrack a bit now, on Saturday we went to Matthew's 1st birthday party at his house. Kory played with Joe, and insisted on wearing a party hat, while Krystal ate (and ate and ate!!) It was good fun.
When we were leaving, Katy (Matthew's Mummy) gave the kids rabbit balloons. We blew them up when we got home and they were HUGE, Krystal's was pink, bigger than her and looked like a huge willy!
Kory's had been burst within about 10 mins by Krystal and they were both hysterical about it! I popped the other on Sunday night as I didn't want a giant willy lying around when I had customers in!!
So yesterday was a very busy day. We had a dentist appointment at 9:30am in town which was a challenge to get to! Kory was a good boy letting the dentist see his teeth. I need loads done as usual now that I am back under private care I can get it (won't get fillings done when I'm under maternity NHS care as they are rubbish ones which caused half the problems I have!) I have 2 x 30 min appointments in the next month, yuck!
In the afternoon I had 2 appointments for the business an hour apart. Both went well both booked dresses. Bizarrely it was the same dress they booked! One thing I find hard is when one dress looks nicer on a lady than another. I am honest regardless of price, I would rather they left with a cheaper dress that looked good than an expensive one that didn't. But when the nicer one is the pricier one, as it looks like you are only saying it as it's more expensive! So that was a nice successful afternoon!
And lastly - the diet. I'm now lighter than I was when I met James, yay! I do have photos (Jenni & Laura!) but obviously I can't show them now. I will though.

My business has got off to a better start than I expected. I thought it might be slow to pick up, but so far I've had 2 appointments and both have hired a dress. I'm getting such a buzz out of it which is nice as I've never had a job I felt like that about before.
I've been building up the numbers of places my flyers are from ceramic centre, playgroups & nurseries to maternity underwear place. All good!

I've not mentioned this on here before, initially because I didn't know if it was going to happen, then when I knew it was, I was so busy with sorting it out. Then it all went quiet and now it's been launched today! I think most people reading this already know, but here goes anyway.
I've take non the Aberdeen franchise of a company hiring out special occassion maternity wear. It's called "Does My Tum Look Big In This" and I'll be working from home around the kids' busy social calendar!
I've been down south for training, I've received all my stock, met with the bank, got myself an accountant and sorted out the house to accommodate all of this.
So tell your friends, family, work colleagues, neighbours & enemies - they'll all know someone pregnant at some time - that I am now hiring out some beautiful dresses.
