Painting Pots1.jpgWe've been doing a craft over a few days which has been good fun.  On Friday, Mummy gave us some pots that were a redish brownish kind of colour and we both chose a colout to paint them.  I chose blue and Krystal chose pink.  We painted and we painted for ages until the pots were covered all over.

Then yesterday we got out the glitter glue pens and we drew on them and Mummy  helped us write our names on them.  We had to leave them to dry overnight.

Planting1.jpgThen today we got to put in some mud.  That bit was fun and messy!

Tomato Seeds In1.jpgNext we put in some tomato seeds and some more mud and water.  Now they are on the kitchen windowsill and they are going to turn into plants that grow tomatoes in the summertime.  Yummy!

Today after nursery and rising 5's, we made Mummy a birthday cake with the new moulds we got with out Christmas money.  Mummy had to help us with some of the measuring bits and the oven but we did lots of it ourselves too!

Mummy forgot to tell us to half the amounts in the recipe, so there was lots of the mix left over after the butterfly, so we also made a teddy bear and some little cakes with sprinkles on.  Here's me icing the teddy

For Grandad!

Coral Kory.jpgThis is a special blog for our Grandad, he was meant to be coming up this weekend with Nana, but his flight was cancelled.  So we've taken photos all day especially to show him!

Coral Kory Menu.jpgWe went out for lunch which was booked before, Krystal and I had yummy chicken fajitas and some of Nana's garlic bread.  I was very full up after that, but Krystal even had a pudding, she's a wee piggy.  Thanks Grandad, it was really nice....

Fajita Kory.jpgFajita Krystal.jpg

Krystal Chiquitos.jpgWe were there for 2 hours and it snowed outside all the time.  When we were finished we went to the shops.  We met a balloon man who made me a hat and Krystal a wand.  We walked about and they popped.  When I went to the toilet with Daddy, we came out and the man had made us new ones!!

Kory Racing Cars1.jpg

There was a stand set up with racing cars on it, which I had a shot of, it was really fun.

Chilling Nana.jpgWe came home and chilled out for a while, we got some chocolate Santa's that Nana brought and a special picnic dinner in the living room.  Krystal even wanted a snack after, she has eaten so much food today!

Story Time.jpgAfter we got our jammies on, Nana read us a Christmas story.  I'm very tired after a busy day.  Off to my bed, night night.

Snowmen.jpgIt's been a busy time and I can't remember everything we've done.  One day last week we got to decorate some gingerbread snowmen with some icing.  Krystal did hers all white and I used the blue icing for mine.   We were allowed to eat them after dinner and they were very yummy.

Kory Gingerbread Snowman.jpgKrystal Gingerbread Snowman.jpg

Advent 1.jpgI went to the usual boxing and nursery where we are learning lots of Christmas songs for our concert.  I've been teaching Krystal the songs too and she really likes them.

We also started opening our advent calendars last week.  Krystal had a Princess one and I had a Transformers one that Grandpa got us.

Advent 2.jpgWe also have a new wooden one this year that Mummy & Daddy got us.  We take turns of opening it.  Each door has a little wooden decoration in it which we hang on one of the hooks round the outside.

Chipmunks 1.jpgOn Saturday we had tickets to go to the cinema to see Planet 51 - it was Krystal's first time going to the cinema, so we got some sweeties.  While we waited to go in we found this board with Alvin and the Chipmunks on it.  We love the first film, so can't wait to see the next one.

Cinema.jpgThis is a photo of us in the cinema, it's a bit rubbish, because Mummy didn't want to put the flash on inside the cinema.  I had really wanted to see the film, but I didn't like it much, it was a bit scary with the soldiers and the one eyed aliens.  Krystal liked it though.  She's a girl and that makes her tough!

Chipmunks 2.jpgThen on Sunday we went to Union Square to look in the new Marks & Spencers.  It was huge and Mummy loved all the house stuff.  We walked past the new cinema in there too and look what we found, big models of the Chipmunks!  Lots better than the cardboard ones.

And here are a few of Mummy's photo's that we sometimes stop to get!

It's Christmas!!

Kory Julie Snowflakes.jpgOn Saturday, we went to Dobbies (garden centre) to see the Christmas display and get a couple of bits.   After we'd had our dinner, Kory got down to making his card for nursery.  I showed him how to make the snowflakes and he was good at cutting out the bits!  I had to fold them up for him though.

Krystal Julie Kory snowflakes.jpgHe sat for ages cutting then gluing them on and lastly came the glitter.  I was told the one I'd made was boring and didn't look like Christmas and that he wanted Christmas coloured glitter.   So he sprinkled and glued some more until he was done!

This was the final result beside my one.  I don't like to be beaten but his *does* look better!

Decorating Tree.jpgYesterday (Sunday) being the first Sunday of Advent, we decided to put the tree up.  Yeah it's earlier than we would normally, but the kids are excited and I'm excited and we wanted it there for starting to open advent calendars tomorrow morning.

We had fun decorationg it (I should emphasise the decorating, not building or putting 5 sets of lights on!) and I even managed to keep my OCD in check and not stop them putting same coloured baubles together.

Angel on Tree.jpgKrystal got to put the fairy on the top too.  Now I suppose I need to get wrapping and get stuff under it.  The bit I HATE doing.

Santa Letters.jpgThis morning I didn't go to nursery because I had to go and see the speech therapist.  I got on really well and they are only concerned about one think I don't say correctly which is "th" - so Mummy and Daddy have to help me with that and they'll see me again when I'm 6.

Kory Writing.jpg

Krystal Writing.jpgWe were home by 10am, so Mummy got out the Christmas stickers and we got going on our letters to Santa.  I told Mummy what I wanted tosay in my letter then she wrote it down for me.  I got my paper and copied it while she helped Krystal write hers.  Mummy was very proud of me for my writing.  I hope Santa likes it too!

Walking JG.jpgI'm sure we've done more in the school holidays, but Mummy seems to mostly have photos of us in parks.  We went to Johnstone Gardens one afternoon last week, but the ground was wet so we couldn't play on the swings and the slide.

Kids bridge.jpgInstead we played a game of "We're Going on a Bear Hunt" like the show we went to see a few weeks ago.  We were going over mountains and through swamps and everything.  It was fun.

Kids shelter.jpg

Kory Cinema.jpgAt the weekend, Mummy took be to the cinema to see "Up" in 3D.  We had to wear glasses again.  It was good how things come out to you.  It was a bit silly, the old man's house took off with lots of balloons.  While we were there, Daddy took Krystal swimming which she enjoyed too.

Jigsaws.jpgOn Sunday we did some things with Daddy while Mummy did a wee bit more Christmas shopping.  We did play-doh and Moonsand.  Mummy never does Moonsand with us.  Now Daddy understands why!

Yesterday we had a lazy morning and then went to take our books back to the library and choose some more.  We got 5 this time each as well as 2 DVD's.

Leaf Collectors.jpgToday started off a bit yucky outside and I had a runny nose so didn't want to go to boxing.  So we weren't going to go out, but then it got a bit brighter and we decided to go leaf collecting at Hazlehead Park.

Resting Leaf Collectors.jpg

Looking for Leaves.jpgIt was very windy but we had great fun getting leaves in our bags of all different colours and shapes.

Sculpture.jpgWe walked around the sculptures...

Kory Helicopters.jpg...played with helicopters...

Piper Alpha Memorial.jpg...and went to the rose garden, Mummy told us all about this statue.  it's for the men who died in a fire on an oil rig a long time ago before we were born.  But Mummy and Daddy remember it happening.  It was fun to hide behind anyway.

Driving in Car.jpgWe went to the park after for a quick play and then Mummy helped us climb trees!

Kicking Leaves.jpgWe collected Daddy after his work and came home to put the leaves to dry.  They'll be for some craft things later in the week I hope!

We’ve had loads of fun these few days.  On Sunday morning we went swimming to the beach where the blue chute is.  I was so excited to show Daddy it as he’d not seen me going on it.  We went on it lots of times, played in the waves and I practised my jumping in wit hout anyone catching me.

Yesterday was our usual busy Monday, I had nursery, then rising 5’s while Mummy ironed and did post office things.  Then after rising 5’s we went to the library to get some new books.  We also got a few DVD’s this time.  But they are all a bit old.

Today I went to nursery in the morning, then we had a chilled out lunch.  Once we had finished we got ready for boxing and then went to the doctors for Mummy’s appointment.  She was very happy when we left so I think it went well.

Breadstick Swords1.JPGI had great fun at my boxing class and I managed to win one of my circuit trials, even over the big boys so I was very excited about that.

Daddy came to meet us after for a special treat…we went to Pizza Hut for dinner.  Something to do with half price food, but it was yummy.  Me and Krystal got pepperoni pizza to share and salad bowls with swords (breadsticks)!

Slurping.JPGThe man who was serving us brought an extra drink too, so Krystal got her first fizzy juice.  Mummy tried not to give it to her as she’s too young, but Krystal wasn’t very happy once she’d seen it.

This was the view out to sea when we came out of Pizza Hut.  Very beautiful I think.

Green Band

Today I had my 2nd grading at my martial arts class which is called Tiny Thai's.  Last time I got a yellow band when I passed and this time I was trying to get my green band.

There were only 5 of us grading today and the other 4 were all big boys.  I was a little big worried about it when we first went in, but once the class started and my teacher Matt was telling us what to do I was fine.

We did all of our warm ups, then showed Matt our techniques and moves before we went on to do some pad work with gloves on.

Once we were done, Matt gave each of us our new bands and our certificates and all the Mummy's (and my Daddy!) clapped us.

Kory Green Band.jpgKory Certificate.jpg

Kory Green Grading.jpgI was so excited to get my new band, I can run even faster with it on. I might even let Krystal have my old yellow one!  Once I got home Mummy and Daddy had got me the new Transformer I've been looking at for being so brave and clever listening to Matt.

Lunch Outside.jpgToday we got up and it was very sunny, so instead of making plans with friends, we stayed at the house all day and played in the garden.  We had our lunch out there and played with our water squirters.

Sail Away.jpgAfter Krystal had her sleep, we got out the paddling pool and some bath toys.  Mummy even put in some warm water as the water from the hose was too cold for us!

Chilling in Pool.jpgWe played for ages and even did some relaxing in there too before we got bored and asked Mummy for the chute to go into the pool.  Well Krystal did.  She went on a big chute last week with Mummy when they went swimming and she's not scared of anything.

I let her go on first so I could watch her.

Krystal pre-splash.jpgKrystal Splash.jpg

But once she had done it, I knew if my baby sister could, I had to!

Kory pre-splash.jpgKory Splash.jpg

Snacktime.jpgWe spent ages playing like that and then it was time for our snack, and Mummy wrapped us up in our towels.

Cheesy Pool.jpgKrystal wanted to get back in the pool for a while and we were on our tummy's swimming to Edinburgh (Mummy edit:  no, I have no idea where this came from!) and it was very hard work doing that.

Krystal Kissing Kory.jpgKrystal kept wanting to kiss me, she's such a kissy wee girl sometimes.  But because she's been such a good girl wearing pants, I let her today.

Kory Sunbathing.jpgI decided I wanted to dry off before Daddy got home, so went to sunbath on the steps.

Krystal Playing in Pool.jpgKrystal got got back in the pool naked, she's so silly!  We had dinner in the garden again too.  It was a lovely day, and I'm gld we didn't go out for a change.
