Tonight after school my best friend Amy came over to play and stayed for dinner.  Amy is my friend who was in Turkey at the same time as us last year and is in my class at school.  We had great fun playing in my room, eating and playing on the Wii at Just Dance.

Tonight the school held a Burns Supper.  Kory had been chosen to take part in the military two step with a few of his classmates.  Of course, he's partnered with Amy :)

Today was Kory's school Christmas concert.  Gone are the days of Christmas concerts being kids singing Christmas songs.  Oh no, dressed as cowboys, performing a show where they have a ho-down in a barn around about a woman having a baby called Jesus.  Narrated by a fieldmouse no less.  Confused?  So were we. 

AND - we were charged £2.50 each to go and watch it.  For licensing fees apparently.  Bring back Away in a Manger, Jingle Bells and We Wish you a Merry Christmas I say, and free entry!

Tonight we went to the Theatre to see Jack & the Beanstalk the pantomime. 

We went to our favourite Indian restaurant first and had some really nice food.  Krystal & I shared a chicken chat and rice as well as Nan bread and poppadoms.  Yummy.

We got to the panto about 6:45, got some swets and waited.  It was really good, there were lots of singing bits and we had to shout loudly and dance too. 

I'm going again next week with school too and I can't wait.

Unlike Krystal's one earlier in the week, for Kory's sports day brought sun and heat!   The kids were split into teams and worked their way around about 10 different events at 5 minutes each.  There was basketball, hockey, hurdles, welly throwing, shot putt amongst other things.  They all did really well, but as with everything on sports day now - there is no winner and no loser. 

 

And as always, James got in with the other competitive dads for the Dad's race!

Yesterday for school we were to dress up as if we were going to a wedding and we were doing things in school to do with William and Kate's wedding. 

This is Krystal and I before we went, she is a bride and I'm a guest.  It was great fun!

Today we got up and ready early to go to a Wedding Party at Jessica and Sophie's house.  We watched the wedding, ate lots of food and had blue ice lollies! 

 Here are my friends Jessica and Jack pretending to be William and Kate just after the balcony kiss bit - yuck!!

All of the mummies wore the tiaras that they wore when they got married, and they looked silly!   This is Leanne wearing hers. 

All of us kids played in the garden as it was a very hot day.  I really enjoyed it.

Today was Kory's party.  He had chosen to have a crazy golf party at Congo (a rainforest themed place) with a few of his friends.  So at 10am we headed down the beach, got the kids into 3 teams and off we went for a round.  Considering there were 11 kids, it was a lot less chaotic than I had expected it to be. 

I forgot to take photos on the way round, and only managed to get them to stand still long enough for one at the end!   Next it was time to go upstairs for some colouring in, some food and ice cream and of course birthday cake! 

The kids all seemed to have a great time, and when we got home, Kory got stuck into the presents he got for from his friends....

I think it's fair to say he's had a busy and enjoyable weekend turning 6!
