Fence Post Frozen Loch1.jpg

On Tuesday night the first proper snow of the year fell.  It's a bit early and a bit much!  But it's oh so good for taking photos of!  My Mum came up on Wednesday night after her work, but I'll do another blog about that.  Here are the snow photos!

Dusk Reflections.jpg

For school this coming week, Kory's class are running a photo competition for the whole school.  The theme is "what my area means to me" and costs £1 to enter with money going to Children in Need which is a nice wee project to help raise money.

So today I took Kory out with me on an adventure as he called it to take some photos of things around the area.  He found it really interesting and has clearly watched me taking pictures of obscure things for long enough that he has quite an eye for it.

I took some shots of him taking his and some of my own along the way.....

Kory Walk.jpgKrystal Walk.jpg

Mummy hasn't been feeling great this week with a cold, so needing some fresh air this afternoon, we went on a bear hunt!  Krystal and I took our binoculars, I took my camera, we put on our boots and winter jackets (it was soooo cold) and went to the local woodlands.

Krystal Looking for Bears.jpgDaddy got me some bracken and we pulled off the leaves to help me hunt in the overgrown bits for the bears.

Checking the Terrain.jpg

Explorers.jpgWe had a great time exploring and checking out the terrain ahead making it safe for Mummy and Daddy to get through.

Peek!1.jpgAt one point Krystal thought she saw a bear, got scared and had to get Daddy to pick her up, she hid under her hood!

Quarry Train.jpgOnce we got to safety, we saw a train by the quarry buildings and of course Mummy did some photos of strange things like a teeny tiny thistle and a fence!

We didn't find any bears though...and we got home safely!

Kids.jpgFor the past 2 weeks we've had visitors.  My Dad arrived on the Monday after the Bear Hunt show.  I apologise for lack of pictures of this, but he was here, honestly!  (This photo Krystal was ill, she looks so unhappy!)

Dad Kids.jpgWe didn't do very much, just chilled in the house, went to Kory's boxing and a visit to the toy shop (of course!) for some grandparent spoiling.

Dad left on the Thursday morning amidst a drama with the car leaking petrol and having a trip to the garage.

Before Photo.jpgThat afternoon the kids got their photos taken at the community centre.

Dressed Up.jpgLast weekend was a bit emotional.  We spent Saturday emptying the attic of all things baby.  I didnt expect to feel weird about it so it surprised me!  We were getting it all ready to give to my new wee nephew.  Before anyone thinks it bothered me because I want more babies - I don't!!  It was more all the memories of Kory & Krystal with all the equipment.  Anyway we got it all down into the garage ready for Mum & Tom arriving on Sunday.

Kory Woodland Walk.jpgAs they weren't coming till later on, James took Kory out for an adventure to a Woodland area near our house.  He wanted to take his binoculars with him to look at bugs and stuff.

Mum & Tom arrived about 4pm and we loaded all the stuff up before dinner.   Then they went off after dinner to see Tom's daughter who recently moved to Aberdeen too.

Cheeky Hat Girl.jpgOn Monday morning, Krystal woke up really early coughing and she had croup...again!  This time I wasn't about to sit for 4 days and see if it cleared and called the doctor while mum took Kory to nursery.

Mum Krystal Tom.jpgWe saw the doctor that morning and got steroids for through the night should we need them.  Thankfully she seemed a bit better and we didn't need to.  Tom left to go home after lunchtime to deliver all the stuff to Laura!

Mum Kids Playing.jpgWe did the usual boxing and I was on duty at Rising 2's.   I got root canal treatment done on Wednesday while Mum played games with the kids.  I've to go back in 3 weeks to get it properly completed.  Yuck.

Mum Kids Pumpkin.jpgMum bought the kids a pumpkin that sings and talks that they were absolutely delighted with.  Kory was giggling like a mad thing!

Kory Zoom.jpgMum went home on Thursday morning.  We've not done much since really, although I took Kory to Duthie Park today with his bike.  He's suddenly too big for it and needs the seat put up!  But he cycled really far and was exhausted by the time he got home!

Early Morning Chilling.jpgIt's the school holidays now for 2 weeks, thank goodness.  I love the holidays!  Lots of this early morning pyjama chilling on the sofa to be done I think!

For ages I've had photos I've taken when we've been places, of the local area.  We know lots of people who read this have no idea where little Cove near Aberdeen actually is or what it looks like, so I'm going to show you!!
