After a whole winter of no snow, it decides on the 19th Feb to do it. Just when we thought it was all over. Needless to say the kids were excited and out playing straight after breakfast! Krystal was making snowballs, Kory made a snowcastle complete with stables and even Fudge got in on the action....
On Friday the kids were off school but James was in work. It was a really hot day and we spent most of it in the garden just playing and having fun.
We planted my hanging baskets, did lots of watering and got Kory a new scooter off his birthday money.
We ended the day by popping some baby burgers on the BBQ and halloumi on the BBQ. A fab day!
On Saturday we went down to Aberdeen beach - the kids both took scooters and we went quite far along and then back to get ice cream.
We sat eating it on a wee grass hill and then headed back to the car - just in time for the rain to start tipping down!
On Easter Sunday the kids got up to find their hidden eggs all round the living room which they enjoyed, then played in the garden until it was time for Daniel's birthday party.
Again the weather held out most of the afternoon so all the kids were outside playing football - Kory's new obsession. The rain came on about 6pm when it was time to head home anyway. A great afternoon.
Today was the opposite to Friday, James was off and the kids were in school and rising 5's. This is the egg Kory made for school (the theme was Faberge hence the sequence - it's a saltire just incase you can't tell!)
Krystal made this wee easter present, meant to be for me but think she wants it herself!

Meet our new bunny rabbit, Fudge. We'd been discussing getting a pet for the kids for a while, we ruled out a cat as James is allergic, a dog because we've been there before and well, never again! Too much restrictions on going out for days and stuff.
We ruled out a goldfish as really what can they do with them?! And a hamster would sleep opposite hours to them. So in short it came down to a rabbit of guinea pig.
So it was put to the vote and last Sunday morning we went to get a bunny, and this is him. He's 9 weeks old meaning he was born roughly when we were in Turkey. Initially he was called Honey but it was a bit girly for a boy rabbit so we managed to persuade them to change it to Fudge. Marginally more boyish!
He's an indoor bunny - didn't see the point in him being outside, 2 reasons, cleaning out there in winter? No thanks! And also the kids wouldn't get to see him much there.
He's a cute wee thing who likes to mostly keep to himself. He's pretty much litter trained already which is good news. He has a few spots helikes to lie and chill in and is still getting used to the jumpiness of Krystal! Kory is a bit slower and gentler with him.
