Christmas Eve before bed....
Christmas Eve before bed....
We've had a very fun 2 days. Yesterday morning, Mummy and I took Kory to the hospital for his eye clinic appointment. There were lots of toys there and in the room when he had his teast, there were lots of Dora stickers all over the wall. He did his test and the doctor spoke to Mummy. She said that unfortunately she couldn't discharge kory yet as his eye is still a bit squint and he's to go back in another 6 months to see if it is any better and get a different test.
When we got home Mummy did some of her housework while we played and then it was time to do some painting. We had sponges for printing, stencils and brushes. And Mummy even showed us how to make butterflies by folding the paper in half.

We painted for ages and ages, had great fun and only made a little bit of a mess!
Today was a very fun day too. After our trip to Brechin Castle Centre that went very wrong a few weeks ago (the parents forgot to lock the front door so we had to go home!) we went back today. It was a bit confusing when we tried to pay because there was some Viking convention on today and the lady didn't know if we wanted to go to it or not.
Once we got in, we played in the park and I was milking the pretend cow.
We went a walk around the outside of the coutry park and we saw this Highland Cow. Mummy likes them, she thinks they are lovely, but I think they look scary.
We stopped for a rest in a wee hut that we found, which helped my little legs.
Once we had seen all of the animals, we went to play on the tractors and to dig in the sandpit for treasure. Kory and I were throwing sand all over the place which was really good fun.
We had a little look around the gift shop and Christmas shop before heading back to the car. Instead of going home, we went to Brewsters for our dinner which was yummy.
Tonight I am going to sleep without my sleeping bag for the first time since I was a baby. I've got a new big girl quilt with butterflies on the cover. Gran bought this for me before I was even born. It looks really comfy and I am so grown up now. Soon I'll be as big as Kory!
And lastly - here is Mummy being a big kid on the bouncy pillows. These were great fun for us all!!

This morning I got up and realised I knew all of the alphabet and not just up to P like yesterday. I've been saying it all day long.
I hear thunder, I hear thunder
Hark don't you, hark don't you
Pitter patter raindrops, pitter patter raindrops
I'm wet though, so are you!
Back by popular demand - it's Krystal eating and sleeping at the same time...
This was on Saturday after an outing to the park with James. We've been skipping her nap recently as she's not going to sleep at night which means she's not getting enough sleep at night, is miserable the next day and then naps longer and makes the nighttime WORSE! However, as you can see, some days she can't quite manage with no sleep!

On Friday we drove down to my Dads house in Glasgow so that I could go to the Take That concert with Laura. Tricia was going too with a friend so Dad took us in about 6:30pm.
Gary Go was on about 7pm and I quite liked him...
Next was The Saturday's who were dreadful, I thought they might be ok, but they so couldn't sing. Not that I can, but then I've not been asked to tour stadiums with Take That!!
Finally at about 9pm, Take That came on stage, yay!! I've seen them several times before, but this show was like something I've never seen. The tour was called "Circus" after their album and they had all sorts there, clowns, balloons, trapeze artists, acrobats, tightrope walkers, even riding unicycles themselves. I think even people not liking Take That would have to say it was an impressive show. In fact this blog from someone else sums it up perfectly.
One of the most amazing things was an elephant that came out of the stage with them on the top. Best explained by the following video I think!
Been a bit on a non eventful week here ar chez Buckingham. Monday I got caught up on some chores, Tuesday was Kory's nursery sports day and boxing class, Wednesday afternoon was our town day to get a friends 30th birthday pressie (you know who you are, I won't name & shame!), Thursday we went to the big Tesco and then I had the doctors (injections brought forward again and on another 2 different pills - yes I now rattle!) Friday we went to Leanne's house for the last time before she moves house, and today was Cove gala day. Nothing much to report on any of it and no photos to show for it either. Can you tell I'm feeling pretty rubbish just now?!
So back to the sports day on Tuesday morning seeing as it was the highlight of the week! It wasn't the normal kind of sports day I remember from school, but a Mini Highland Games. The kids were divided into teams a few weeks ago (Kory was in White Team) and all the events were team ones.
There was "Stir the Porridge" - run to porridge, mix it up and run back...
Then a twist on the egg and spoon race with "Tattie on a Spoon" - keep tattie on spoon, run to end and back (Kory wasn't in much of a hurry as you can see!) ...
Next was "Bruce's Spider" - run, go through tunnel collecting a spider, run to web, place spider on web and run back...
They moved on to "Scotch Broth" - run, choose a vegetable, run to pot, put in vegetable and run back...
My favourite was "Throw the Haggis" - run, pick up a haggis and get it in the net then run back...
And lastly was "Toss the Wellies" - run to wellie pile, choose one and throw it from where you were and see if you could get it into the big tub then run back (a bit of "helping" going on by the tub holder methinks!!)...
At the end was the awards where they all got a medal for taking part. No winners and losers nowadays. Not sure that teaches them anything about life and the need to try hard to get ahead. But don't get me started on that!
As the weather had held out, they let each age group do a quick flat race, here's Kory's...
And lastly....the dad's race. Now this *was* competitive, loads of them got up for it, including James...
Krystal enjoyed herself too, but was a bit bored and huffy by the end.

The other day, I was trying to teach Krystal how to say the alphabet like me. But she was being silly and kept getting the giggles!
It's been a busy few days, though I can't actually remember too much about what we've been doing! We went to visit our friends Sarah & Graeme on Saturday during a freak snow storm. They had a new baby boy last week called Aulay, making them a family of 6!
On Sunday I went with Krystal to a garden centre and shopping while James & Kory went to the park and tried to build a picnic table (and failed, they were too cold apparently!)
On Monday we didn't do a lot, a rare afternoon in the house was had. The result of which was bored whingy and crying kids, a trashed house and a stressed out mummy! Needless to say we don't "do" staying in the house much!
Yesterday was roasting in Aberdeen, about 19 degrees. After Krystal had "school" and Kory had nursery we headed to the beach for an hour before Kory's thai boxing class. He's getting really into it now, starting to learn more from the bigger boys and copy them. So cute as he's still pretty small compared to them.
This is Krystal in the coffee shop where we go while he's in class.
Anyway, the kids had great fun at the beachpark as you can see from all the photos! In the evening I had an appointment at The House Spa. I got gift vouchers for my birthday so had made an appointment to use them. I got my eyebrows done which was much needed and got my nails done too.
Today was warm again, but not *that* warm! Again Krystal had school. She must have been learning some new songs. This evening after dinner I was in the living room and I heard her saying to Kory "point ceiling, floor, at window at door, wheels on a bus" and when I came back she was doing the actions. I asked her if she'd been singing "Wind the Bobbin Up" in school and she was dead excited that I knew what she was saying. Then she started this.....
This afternoon we went to a party of one of Kory's friends, Liam. As it was such a lovely day, we were outside for most of it playing and doing an easter egg hunt! There was lovely food inside and a couple of games too. It was really good fun.
