The other day, I was trying to teach Krystal how to say the alphabet like me. But she was being silly and kept getting the giggles!
It's been a busy few days, though I can't actually remember too much about what we've been doing! We went to visit our friends Sarah & Graeme on Saturday during a freak snow storm. They had a new baby boy last week called Aulay, making them a family of 6!
On Sunday I went with Krystal to a garden centre and shopping while James & Kory went to the park and tried to build a picnic table (and failed, they were too cold apparently!)
On Monday we didn't do a lot, a rare afternoon in the house was had. The result of which was bored whingy and crying kids, a trashed house and a stressed out mummy! Needless to say we don't "do" staying in the house much!
Yesterday was roasting in Aberdeen, about 19 degrees. After Krystal had "school" and Kory had nursery we headed to the beach for an hour before Kory's thai boxing class. He's getting really into it now, starting to learn more from the bigger boys and copy them. So cute as he's still pretty small compared to them.
This is Krystal in the coffee shop where we go while he's in class.
Anyway, the kids had great fun at the beachpark as you can see from all the photos! In the evening I had an appointment at The House Spa. I got gift vouchers for my birthday so had made an appointment to use them. I got my eyebrows done which was much needed and got my nails done too.
Today was warm again, but not *that* warm! Again Krystal had school. She must have been learning some new songs. This evening after dinner I was in the living room and I heard her saying to Kory "point ceiling, floor, at window at door, wheels on a bus" and when I came back she was doing the actions. I asked her if she'd been singing "Wind the Bobbin Up" in school and she was dead excited that I knew what she was saying. Then she started this.....
This afternoon we went to a party of one of Kory's friends, Liam. As it was such a lovely day, we were outside for most of it playing and doing an easter egg hunt! There was lovely food inside and a couple of games too. It was really good fun.

Even Mummy's and Daddy's need a break sometimes so Kory and Krystal took over with the Sunday jobs for the day ;-)
Last week Julie bought some Christmas paint stamp things and Kory asked if I would do them with him. I'm not really into doing craft things with them (that's Julie's department) but we did it on Sunday and Kory enjoyed it. Krystal made a right mess and then got fed up.
This afternoon the kids and I made some food for Santa's reindeer. We had to put glittery shiny things in it so that they can see it from the sky and come down to land and they eat it while Santa drops off the presents. Obviously they like Ready Brek.
Once we were done I remembered that on the board at Kory's nursery it says that all the children are to make a Christmas card to take in instead of giving cards to each other. So I started thinking "uh-oh, what on earth can we use to make a card?!" when a brilliant idea popped in my head....
I got the paintings in Christmas colours from the other day and we cut them up to the shape of a Christmas Tree, cut out a pot for it, a star and some baubles and stuck them all to a card.
Then Kory wrote his name in it and put in some Christmas stickers.
Are you impressed with how inventive that is??!! So now Jill, you have a proper response to what I do with my kids' creations!!
Krystal did some painting with Postman Pat in the meantime!

This afternoon we got out some Christmas coloured paints and did some painting in the kitchen. It was the first time Mummy has let Krystal use paint and she was so boring with it, and kept it mostly on the paper. She did copy me when I painted my hand though!! Once we were finished I needed to go in the shower as my feet and hands were stained with red paint from doing prints, oops! Have a look what we did....
