Halloween 09!

Halloween has been spread over 2 days here - Kory had his party at nursery yesterday so had to dress up. This year a vampire was the chosen "thing" - he had the teeth in and everything.

Then today we went up to Leanne's house for sweeties and then got pizza for tea (well it *is* half price just now!!).

We headed in to a few houses on the way home to "trick or treat" and they even got to dunk for apples in one of them!

This is the first year Krystal has really understood the point of dressing up and she's loved it. So here's some photos!

On another note, it's been a rubbish week, I came down with what appeared to be flu - totally wiped out with no cold or cough - on Wednesday. Struggled through the day, but by Thursday morning I could barely move and had chest pains. James took a day holiday. Friday he had to go to work, so I muddled through but phoned doctor. I went in, had tests including an ECG which was clear. So they don't know what hurts and why. Back on Tuesday to my normal doctor.

Special Treat

We’ve had loads of fun these few days. On Sunday morning we went swimming to the beach where the blue chute is. I was so excited to show Daddy it as he’d not seen me going on it. We went on it lots of times, played in the waves and I practised my jumping in wit hout anyone catching me.

Yesterday was our usual busy Monday, I had nursery, then rising 5’s while Mummy ironed and did post office things. Then after rising 5’s we went to the library to get some new books. We also got a few DVD’s this time. But they are all a bit old.

Today I went to nursery in the morning, then we had a chilled out lunch. Once we had finished we got ready for boxing and then went to the doctors for Mummy’s appointment. She was very happy when we left so I think it went well.

I had great fun at my boxing class and I managed to win one of my circuit trials, even over the big boys so I was very excited about that.

Daddy came to meet us after for a special treat…we went to Pizza Hut for dinner. Something to do with half price food, but it was yummy. Me and Krystal got pepperoni pizza to share and salad bowls with swords (breadsticks)!

The man who was serving us brought an extra drink too, so Krystal got her first fizzy juice. Mummy tried not to give it to her as she’s too young, but Krystal wasn’t very happy once she’d seen it.

This was the view out to sea when we came out of Pizza Hut. Very beautiful I think.

Face Painting

Ooops, it would appear I've not done a blog post for a while. I don't really have much happening to report on. Kory started back at nursery just after the last time I posted. He's delighted to be back. Krystal is back at rising 2's and Kory has started at rising 5's. Photo is Kory being cheeky and stealing James' beer!

Toilet training is finally falling into place (in that she'll now actually use a toilet rather than a potty which is a pointless bit of kit!) and Kory has been asked to grade for his 2nd Khan at boxing (green band) which he's excited about. Krystal had a sickness bug that was only a day long and that's it, 2 weeks in a nutshell! I walked into the kitchen one night and at first glance this looked like Krystal had 2 hands out in front of her on the table. Took me a minute to notice it was her foot!

Today was Kory's school's birthday party. It's 10 years old this week so the parent council (or whatever they're called nowadays) organised a party. There was a bouncy castle, Mackie's ice cream, party bags, lucky dip and party food for the kids all free! I must remember to contribute next time they ask for money for something!

Then there was face painting. Kory really wanted to be a tiger, so we queued for ages to let him be one. And of course the little missy had to be a butterfly with pink and purple wings and sparkles!

Kory was such a scary tiger roaring (like a lion) lots....

...and Krystal was flapping her wings (arms) like a butterfly.

We came home for lunch then headed into town to order a frame for a picture we've had for over a year...oops! And then took the kids to Duthie park. Which got a few looks with their face paint on!

By the time we came home, we were all shattered so got a McDonalds for dinner. I then went food shopping this evening. Now I really am exhausted.

Speaking of exhausted and how I feel, I had an injection last week and a doctors appointment this week. I'm going to see a haematologist in a couple of weeks to see what they say about my B12 levels dipping despite the injections. But the GP says he'll give me more frequent injections if need be which I am delighted about. So hopefully I will feel much better all the time rather than for 2 weeks a month.
