Today was Kory's first full day at school, and Krystal and I were feeling a bit lost after lunch so thought we'd go to Johnston Gardens for a wander about, take some photos and let her play. But she had other ideas.

She was in a posing mood, laying on benches, leaning on trees and peeking through bridges wanting me to take her photo. So I did, lots of times....

First Day of Nursery

Today my littlest baby started nursery! Yip, wee Krystal isn't so wee any more. She took it all in her stride really as she's been going there for 2 years to drop Kory off.

She did do a wee dance heading across the playground though...

And was excited waiting outsidebefore we went in. I stayed with her today to do all the form filling, but she wasn't even bothered where I was! Go Krystal!

In the afternoon, the weather really brightened up and we played in the garden, had ice lollies then went to the park with friends. A lovely happy day all round.

Visitors

This afternoon Tom and Jamie came to visit us for a wee while because they were in Aberdeen doing something already. Tom brought presents from him and Gran - princess things for me and a dinosaur egg for Kory. And of course sweeties.

They had some dinner and then they played with us in the living room. I brought down some ponies for Jamie to play with which he loved!

Next Kory and Jamie played Transformers and I played with Tom with our toy cat "Fizzy" - I think he liked to cuddle him!

They were only here for 2 hours but it was nice to see them.

Wee Cat

Yesterday and today there has been a wee cat coming to our back door. It's very friendly and lets us stroke it. It says miaow a lot too, but we don't feed it because we want it to go home to it's mummy and daddy and if we feed it, it'll think it lives here and daddy is allergic to cats so we can't have one. But I hadfun playing with it.

Pierced Ears

On Tuesday I took Krystal into town and she got her ears pierced. There's more to the story than that over a few months, but that's the long and short of it. I didn't put it on at the time so as not to overshadow Kory's school day.

She was so bravegetting it done too. I wee whimper, but that's about it, then much posing in mirrors!

I've surprised myself by letting her get it done as I always said not till she's older, but there you go, and I actually quite like it. But more to the point she is chuffed to bits as in her eyes she is closer to being cinderella/sleeping beauty.

Makeover

I've been asking Mummy for ages and ages if I can wear her makeup. She always says "no" and "when you're a big girl" all the time. So tonight when I asked, she said yes! I got on some sparkley stuff on my eyes, some mascara and some lipstick. I thought I looked very pretty. I'm not allowed to wear it again though.

Mummy Addition - no we're not doing a Katie Price and Princess!

Ice Cream, Fish & Singing Kettle

This is our first week of the holidays we've not spend travelling somewhere and it's been very nice. We've had some pyjama mornings, and seen some friends. Like on Monday we were allowed to be in pyjamas until lunchtime! Then we had to go shopping for some food. That was all we did, it was fun.

On Tuesday I had my friend Emily round to play. Normally it's Kory's friends who come round, so it was nice to have mine over. Mummy forgot to ask if it was ok to put a photo here, so I better not until we check. Afterwards Kory went to boxing, it's been ages since he was there.

Wednesday was chilled again in the morning and then Mummy took us into town in the afternoon to go to the new Baskin' Robbins ice cream shop. I chose a banana & strawberry one with sprinkles, Kory chose mango tango with mixed berry sauce and Mummy got raspberry sorbet with marshmallow sauce which made her tongue go blue. I want that one next time!

On Thursday morning we did some craft with paper plates, felt pens and some glitter. Kory showed me what to do, he found it in a book and copied it. Mummy just left us to it for the first time ever. I think she expected a big mess but we didn't make one.

When we got dressed we went to Burger King for lunch and a play, then to Jessica & Sophie's house as we'd not seen them for 4 weeks with all our travels!

And today was a treat day. First we met Daddy for lunch at Pizza Express and then he went back to work and we went to the theatre to see The Singing Kettle show. At first I was a bit scared to clap, but I saw Kory and all the other kids doing it and I started to join in and it was fun. We sang lots of songs and danced in our seats. We even got the DVD to watch it again.

We had to wait for Daddy to finish work again and went to the bookshop to look while we waited. Mummy kept telling us to get off the floor, but it was the best place to read.

I've really enjoyed my week and tomorrow is a Daddy Special morning so I'm looking forward to that too.

Photo Week

We've been very busy this week with all of our classes that we go to. Now I'm 3, I get to go to Rising 5's with Kory on a Monday. He then has boxing on a Tuesday, and I have Rising 2's on Wednesday morning and gymnastics in hte afternoon. Kory also has his nursery. So we don't have time for much other stuff.

On Monday afternoon we watched Countdown. We really liked it and didn't know Mummy sneaked this picture of us from the couch!

We went into town yesterday with Mummy, we got my gym shoes and Kory spent some of his birthday money on Transformers pyjamas. I even got to walk like a big girl and not go in the buggy.

Mummy has a sore mouth again and has been back at the dentist. So today we had a bit of a chill out day and we even got yummy snacks while the football was on. Kory is excited about his new football chart and watching the thing called "World Cup" - I don't really understand it all though. Football is for boys, I just went to play princesses. Mummy seemed to like it though.

Last weekend at a party, Kory got his face painted like a scary lion!

Krystal's Illness

As I have said before, she's not been well with a diarrhoea bug type thing. Well it went on for ages and i took her to the doctor last Thursday. They think she has a temporary lactose intolerance and as a precaution (with my stomach problems, her lack of weight gain as a baby looking like lactose problems and my brother Jamie having Crohns Disease) have referred her to the childrens hospital.

That seemed to be clearing up, but when I got back from the Hen weekend on Sunday, things had taken a new turn and she was crying every time she did a wee and thinking she needed to go again 5 more times in the following 10 minutes.

Monday I gave her cranberry juice and made sure she drank lots of water. I didn't want to be dramatic Mummy back at doctors so soon! But by yesterday I gave in as it hadn't improved at all. They took a sample (it was clear) and some antibiotics. Time will tell if that does anything. Poor kid has had weeks of hating going to the toilet. Not that you'd guess all this from the photos eh? How rose tinted things can seem sometimes on a blog! She's spent the best part of this week crying her eyes out.

Birthday Girl

Today was Krystal's 3rd birthday. She was up again in the night last night so didn't get up until 8:10am. She was so excited to see this pile of presents waiting for her.

I think her face says it all in this photo when she opened her pink iPod. She might only be turning 3, but she really wasn't needing anything, Kory has one and they both love music. Getting one of the old style ones like his but in pink wasn't the easiest thing!

We got all ready and headed to the cinema for 10am (yawn) to see a film about mermaids. The write up made it sound like a rewrite of "The Little Mermaid" but it wasn't what we expected at all. It was japanese cartoon. They enjoyed it though, and I got into it as it went on!

We then headed to Pizza Hut for lunch. We met a couple of the kids friends there which they loved and the food went down well too!

We came home for a while after that, to make phonecalls to people who'd been trying to get us all morning and to chill for a bit. Krystal was a bit huffy and tired, so we scrapped any plans we had for the afternoon and decided just to head to Johnstone Gardens for a walk and then to a playpark.

Though this ended in disaster when Kory was on one of the wobbly things (you know like a horse on a big coiled spring) and made it go so fast it came back and smacked him in the eye!

We came home, fed the troops (again!) and sang Happy Birthday and blew out the candles. The cake was very yummy even if I do say so myself!

When we went upstairs to get ready for bed, Krystal wanted to try on one of her presents from Nana. She got it last year in China and kept for her birthday. I think it was meant to be for dressing up, but I love it! Only not sure when I'd ever put it on her. Only time I can think is on a holiday in the evening for eating out. It's so pretty. She was so funny bowing in it too.

I think a good day was had by her, she's come so far from this...

More Visitors

On Wednesday, we came home from school/nursery and it was nice and warm so me and Kory wanted to play in the garden when Mummy made lunch. We had so much fun that we kept playing and playing and we even asked if we could eat our lunch out there. Mummy said it wasn't warm enough but we were too pleased to be outside that we didn't want to go in!

After our lunch we walked down to the bus stop to meet Auntie Laura, Uncle Jamie & Baby Owen (We decided he's Uncle Jamie as that's what Auntie's have, but it is a bit confusing as we already have an Uncle Jamie [Mummy's bother] ) We came home and played for a wee while before dinner and bedtime. I was a bit nervous of Owen, but he realy likes Kory. Kory makes faces at him and he laughs.

On Thursday I stayed with Auntie Laura while the others took Kory to nursery. When they came back we went to a garden centre as Auntie Laura wanted more of the chocolate we got her for her birthday! Owen fell asleep in the car and stayed sleeping all the way to nursery in my buggy.

As the 3 grandchildren won't be together too often, Mummy and Laura got her a photo frame for mothers day. So in the afternoon we needed to take the photos to put in it. Here are the 4 that were chosen in the end.

As soon as they said they wanted to take our pictures, we thought it was like when Grandpa was here and got down on our fronts!

On Friday morning we went to Asda to get the pictures printed off then after we got Kory we went into town to meet Daddy for lunch and do some shopping. We got the bus into town as we don't all fit in the car, and it was so exciting!

Yesterday morning they all had to get the train home again. We really enjoyed having Baby Owen to stay, and it's very quiet here now! In the afternoon we went into town (again) to get Kory fitted for his kilt for Jenni & Dave's wedding, then Kory's passport photo taken.

Today was Mothers Day - we got up early to give Mummy her card and present. In the afternoon, Mummy had to go bra shopping, then we went to get me some new shoes. Because I have funny sized feet, I ended up getting the same shoes as I had last year, but I think they are beautiful!

Park Fun

On Saturday it was sunny so we went to Dobbies and then on to Hazlehead Park. We took our scooters, but I didn't want to take mine out the car and decided to run instead. Kory scooted on his one.

First we went through all the trees and Kory used his camera to take some pictures.

Then we got to my favourite area in the park - the play bit. It was a bit muddy and dirty but we managed to have some fun too.

It was a bit cold so we went to explore the rest of the park for a while, before heading back to the car. It's nice to get to the park again, maybe spring will be here soon.

When we got home we had hot ribena to heat us up and Kory had a snuggle with Mummy on the couch reading one of Daddy's work books. I think he might turn into a geek too. Just as well me and Mummy are both girls.

Krystal's Party

This got a bit sidelined for the weekend blogs, so thought she deserved one of her own!

On Friday it was finally Krystal's turn for a party after ferrying Kory about all week to his! It was in the afternoon, so we killed some time in the morning by going to the end of term service at Kory's school. I like going there, it's very Christmassy and I leave all happy. The photo is the kids hoping for snow!

After lunch Krystal got on her "pretty dress", her sparkly tights, her shiny shoes and her new ring (from Gran for Christmas, but was allowed to wear for parties!) I did her hair in matching ribbons and she was ready to go.

Of course she wanted to wear her fur coat too! She can be such a girly girl when she wants to be!

I took her down, then James and I went back down to see Santa arriving. Kory stayed with Coral at the house, showing her a thing or two on Mariokart Wii!

This is Krystal with Josh (Maria's son, Daniel's brother if you are a regular here!) both waiting patiently for the big guy to arrive.

Some of the kids were scared of Santa. Not Krystal. She was sitting shouting at him "Santa, when is it going to be my turn?" and "Santa, do you like my ring?" (while sticking up her middle finger to let him see, he replied it was lovely) then "Santa liked my ring Daddy!"

She sat for ages, her present was the last one in his sack!

When we came out of the party, the snow started. Krystal was so excited about it. It was a bit like it was symbolising the start of Christmas.
